Real-time software

We speak of a real-time system when this system is capable of controlling (or piloting) a physical process at a speed 
adapted to the evolution of the controlled process.

Real-time IT systems are different from other IT systems by taking into account time constraints whose respect is as
 important as the accuracy of the result, in other words the system must not simply deliver exact results, it must 
deliver them within imposed deadlines.

Designed for systems that integrate time constraints, real-time softwares are used in many sectors (mainly in industries), for example in the Aerospace, Space, Telecoms, Automotive …

They are also used in Information Systems, such as Finances (real-time market and transactions data management system).
